Do You Need a Fishing License for Table Rock Lake?

Yes. Anyone 16 or older fishing the Missouri side of Table Rock Lake needs a Missouri fishing permit unless an exemption applies. MDC lists 2026 prices of $57 for a nonresident fishing permit, $14 for a resident fishing permit and $9 a day for a daily permit, and children 15 and younger fish free.

Table Rock Lake also has its own size and daily limits. MDC’s special regulations page for the lake still shows a single 15-inch minimum for all black bass, so confirm the current spotted bass rule with MDC before keeping one between 12 and 15 inches.

The lake crosses into northwest Arkansas, and each state licenses its own side. The $10 White River Border Lakes Permit lets Missouri and Arkansas residents fish the other state’s side, except for trout, without buying that state’s nonresident permit, so anglers from anywhere else should check Arkansas licensing before crossing the state line on the water. Missouri residents 65 and older fish without a permit, but that exemption does not cover a trout permit or daily trout tags where MDC requires them.
